Nuclear energy in France: Does France offer a model of nuclear energy development?

  • No responses have been submitted.
  • No, France is not a leader in nuclear energy.

No, France does not offer a model of nuclear energy development, because they are too environmentally cautious. Switzerland has a nuclear reactor that is more famous than the one in France. In the United States, the technology for nuclear energy is stronger than it is in France. France participates, but their nuclear program is not a priority for them.

  • On it's face yes, but not really

Nuclear energy is the way to go, and in that regard France is ahead. But the world's energy policy as a whole is pretty poor. France, like all European socialists do with everything, heavily subsidizes and overly regulates the crap out of the industry, which is oxymoronic. The result is less innovation for a lot more money.
