My comment is in regards to the majority of religions as I am sure that there are some exceptions that do not fall under the broad brush claims I am making.
Historically yes for most. Religion (in large part) was used by those in power as a means of control; as such religion was made to (via editing, translations, and influencing of preachers, or just the general bias of the founders) emphasize both their power and their right to have it. Since those in power were men it usually emphasizes male dominance and superiority over women.
Many religions may be distancing themselves from this archaic view and should not be judged based on the bias in the ancient past. However it is hard to wash away the stain it leaves in future generations. As such I'd say that many religions are misogynistic to varying degrees but many are trying not to be.

Islam, for example, is extremely critical/oppressive of women. Christianity on the other hand is not. So I would say some religions are, but not all.

Some are, some aren't. For example, Islam is the most oppressive religion when it comes to women. A Muslim woman's witness in a Sharia court is worth half of that of a man. And husbands can beat their wives into submission. Other religions like Christianity and Judaism give men and women equal rights.

The bile says that if a woman is raped then she should be sold to her rapist, if a woman has sex and is caught she will be brought to her father's door and stoned, prostitutes will be stoned. The Koran says that it is okay for sexual harassment in a marriage by the husband as the woman should be 100% submissive to him.

I am male and I cringe when I here the awful things that various religious texts say about women. I do not believe for a moment that God sees men in any superior way. All the discrimination is just men embarrassing ourselves... again.

Just general "religions" must encompass all religions and all religious beliefs, making "Are religions degrading to women and high misogynist?" false, because I know for fact that there are even religious beliefs centered around feminist tenants.
Religion evolves just as changing public attitudes, with men accepting women as equals so to does religion. This question is ridiculous
Not all religions only false ones like islam and mormons, they are made up by pedophiles.
It seems that if that were the case, Nobody would be religious. We generally learn our faith from our mothers, And half of the world is female. I believe that there is a higher percentage of female believers as well.
