Don't you just love how how this site repeatedly tells you that it cannot create your poll, yet adds it anyway?

This is a known issue and has been going on for months. On most polls, if you click submit it will say it is unable to submit but actually does. The people who don't know this repeatedly press submit over and over again, resulting in endless duplicates. This issue is unlikely to be resolved in the near future. You're lucky though, some people can't even post polls.

LOL! Good answer. Still laughing.

LittleBallofHATE: It's the actual answer.

Well. It tickled my funny bone, for some reason. Probably because I have a good buzz going. Not drunk. Just feeling good. ^_^

Let me clarify. I assumed you were referring to the level of intelligence, when you said some people can't even post a poll topic.

LittleBallofHATE: No, I mean legit some people are unable to post polls. I have no idea what the criteria is to cause this error, but I am one of them. That's why I said "you're lucky".

Here lately unless i clock the button multiple times it will not post my poll which of course results in multiple polls but thats the only way it will save

I am another user who is often unable to create polls. This is the very reason why I stopped posting new polls months ago and gave up all together (and was inactive on DDO for quite a long period). I am confident that none of the polls that I attempted to post (and failed) violated the TOS of the site.

It doesn't say anything positive, that this problem has existed for so long, yet admin does nothing about it. Did their webmasters quit, or are they simply incompetent? To me, it shows that they simply don't care. Would Admin care to comment on this?
cludwig says2016-03-08T08:14:03.4459671Z
I built and maintain 8 websites (although much smaller than DDO). I know that if this kind of problem existed longer than two days on one of my sites, I would feel like I have failed my client and their users.

LittleBallofHATE: I am the poll moderator and what I can say is that airmax1227, the head moderator of the site, can do nothing about this. The owners of the site, Juggle, can. However, many months ago it appeared that their interactivity with the site has diminished to the point of non-existence. So it's no one's fault per-se with all the duplicated polls and we just have to deal with the glitches until one day maybe Juggle will come back and fix it. I used to be the most prolific poll poster until the errors showed up, now I rarely visit the polls section even though I moderate it.

@Petersmith - do you know if DDO is a Content Management System website or a fully custom coded site? Just curious.
LittleBallofHATE says2016-03-08T08:26:04.6765357Z
Like I said, I believe that they just don't care, or they would have fixed it by now. If this was my site, I'd be embarrassed. I'm referring to the owner, not the moderator.
PetersSmith says2016-03-08T16:29:47.0760007Z
Cludwig: I don't know the technical aspects, I just know what's wrong and that Juggle is not going to fix it.

Yeah, I accidentally created three debates when it said that it had an unknown link.
