Is English really the hardest language to learn?

Posted by: Foodiesoul

As most of you already know, I am 100% fluent in English (specifically American English) and I do not see how English is the hardest language to learn. Maybe some of you can prove me wrong.

@PetersSmith I see where this is going but I am completely fluent in English. I'm not an illiterate and I am blessed with education, although it does sometimes feel like torture!

English can be difficult to learn, but whether it's the hardest is subjective. As a native Mandarin speaker, I think English is difficult to learn because phonetically the two languages are different, and grammatically English has many concepts that don't exist in Chinese.

@Foodiesoul Perhaps your English is quite awful because education is too much torture for you?
