Is English really the hardest language to learn?

English language is a derivative of Western Germanic language. German language is also a derivative of Western Germanic language. Look at German language. German language has complex article and demonstrative rules while English has just "the," "a," "an," "this," "that," "these," and "that." English doesn't have genders for nouns. When you learn English, you don't have to care about nominative, accusative, dative, and genitive nouns because you don't change articles or demonstratives. Look at Latin - it is a misconception that English is a derivative of Latin language - which has complicated conjugations. Just like Spanish, Latin has genders for nouns, different conjugations for each pronouns. When you want to say a plural noun in English, you just add "s" to the word. In Latin language, you have to conjugate according to the noun type. For instance, when you translate "Widow gives a land" into Latin, you just simple say "VIDUA dat terram." When you translate "POPE gives a land to a widow," you would say "Papa dat VIDUE terram." The Latin word "terram" supposes to be "terra"; however, "terra" in this case is accusative, so it has to be conjugated. Let's look at Korean and Japanese. Both languages use Hanja or Kanji, which is borrowed Chinese letters. Both languages also use their own native words. Hence both languages have two different numbering system - you can't just randomly pick one system to use since each system has different uses - and have multiple words that may have same meaning. For instance, a Korean word "빨강" and "시뻘건" both mean "red." Many foreigners who can speak Korean fluently struggled to guess the meaning of "시뻘건." It would be ridiculous if you don't know the word "red." Japanese Kanji "生," which means a life, actually has 12 different pronunciations. In English, you just "a life," not "sei," "nama," "ee," "u," "ha," and etc. Of course, many Japanese Kanjis are not this crazy; however, you should be expecting at least 3 different pronunciations.
