"A leader or orator who espoused the cause of the common people." Hell yes he is.
@PetersSmith I think most people use this definition for demagogue: "a political leader who tries to get support by making false claims and promises and using arguments based on emotion rather than reason" (http://www.Merriam-webster.Com/dictionary/demagogue).
Regardless, Stephen Hawking used that word as an insult toward Trump, so it doesn't matter what the dictionary definition of the word is.
@peter I agree that he is, and it works. People are fed up with leaders like Hillary and they want people who speak their mind. A demagogue is not inherently a bad thing, it is someone that the people like and if they mess up, then the onus is on them. Side note: Obama is a demagogue, he used people's emotions about discrimination to make it so that if you didn't vote for him, you are a racist. Bush was a demagogue(idk how, I wasn't alive then, but since he was elected then he was a demagogue). George Washington was a demagogue, he used people's negative emotions against the English to lead a revolution. Every great leader has been a demagogue so throwing around about x being a demagogue just proves that they would make a good leader. The people will always choose someone that sparks emotions and that they can relate to emotionally, this isn't a bad thing.

@frenchmoosetwo PolitiFact is biased against conservatives ... And to confirm people's suspicions, they did a study on this (see: http://www.usnews.com/opinion/blogs/peter-roff/2013/05/28/study-finds-fact-checkers-biased-against-republicans).
