To be honest I disagree that CARS will dominate at all.
Cars will always be around. Some people rely on them eg social workers

The tech is becoming more available and we won't have much choice if we want to survive
Crude oil will not last forever
I think oil corporations are too powerful and strong. We'll see, but I doubt that we will get rid of petrol cars, I could be wrong
