Why did we never go back to the moon?

Personally, I believe there is much more on the moon than we are being told. It makes absolutely no sense that we just stopped. According to Rumsfeld, we lost 2.3 TRILLION dollars. Well, that money went somewhere and I believe it to be a secret space program. Let's get real people. The universe is infinitely huge. We are not the only life in it. If you think God just stopped creating life, you are a fool. My gut instinct is that Mars was colonized too. Until a disaster happened. There is much more to all of this than meets the eye. Much much more.

Because there is no one on Moon to be colonized......

China has a rover there now and is gearing up for a moon landing after 2025. Since the simple act of landing and coming back is very expensive, nations aren't likely to go without a plan to exploit resources. China hopes to mine titanium and helium-3 in the next 20 or 30 years. Apparently, the US is not as confident that there's yet a profit to be made.

Simple, it's too expensive.

Out government does not want to invest money to send people to space (outside of the International Space Station) because it is A LOT, and I mean A LOT, cheaper do unmanned missions than it is to send people.

I have no idea who Adam is and I am not a conspiracy theorist. Do you understand how many conspiracies in this world have been proven true? Hundreds of them. Why is it when a person has legitimate logical question do people scream conspiracy theories? You can see Rumsfeld talk about losing 2.3 TRILLION dollars. You can watch the senate hearing on the FED losing 9 TRILLION dollars. That is a lot of money people and it is going somewhere. So where? What could be large enough that it needs that much money? It is something big I assure you. Our military and scientists are not dumb. If they found life outside of this planet, the are going to start developing a plan to protect us. That plan will take finances. So no, I am not Adam and no I am not a conspiracy theorists. I look at facts and ask reasonable questions. People who scream that others are conspiracy theorists are simply brainwashed fools that cannot accept the fact that what they believe may not be true.

You know what is funny about people who try to use the "conspiracy theory" label as an insult? Hundreds of "conspiracy theories" have turned out to be actually true. The official stories are often the lies. Heck, every official story our government puts out is eventually found to be not true or a half truth. Remember the fake Iraq stories? Pat Tillman and Jessica Lynch? People bought that nonsense hook, line, and sinker --- until we found out it was all made up. Then the real stories came out. When will people learn, that the function of government is to keep those in government in power. The truth does not matter. I mean really --- how many times have we caught political officials lying? Thousands upon thousands of times. What makes you think they will tell the truth about the big things?

The funding has run out. The space race is over. Public interest in the space program is nonexistent, and funding for NASA is down to 0.5% of the federal budget. We simply don't have the resources to go back.
