I don't see a use. I have to pay constant fees which are racking up hundreds in under 2 years of employment. If I stay on this track I will end up paying thousands in no time. I see absolutely no use for it, as my employer treats me completely fairly and because there is a union for my title, I am forced to be on it. How does that make sense? Even more so, sense union employees have to be fairly paid at an even rate, I can work much harder than any other employee in my warehouse and never expect a raise because I'm on the union! I see people who answered "Yes" are saying that managers and such would take overwhelming control of their employees and severely mistreat them, but how could they do this when there are specific laws in place to stop them? It all dwindles down to the simple fact that, yes, unions were created as a driving force in gaining better working conditions for blue-collar workers, but now they have developed into a business and are no longer needed in America.
If they really want to make a change, they can outsource to a third world country, I'm sure they could use them.
