This is a very balanced argument, however, the benefits of using drones outweighs the costs. Whether or not the US should use drones in the military is a very balanced argument. People are not necessarily in the wrong for deeming usage of drones to be cowardly and imprecise. However, people are very intelligent, and can find the facts behind why using military drones can be a very beneficial strategy for the US. When it comes to to casualties, many people are horrified by the amount of civilian deaths in drone strikes, yet as a percentage less civilians die as a result of drone strikes than any other military weapon. One thing that people often dislike about the idea of using drones in the military, is the fact that soldiers are not on battle and therefore it is harder for them to make a good decision on whether to drop a bomb or not. However, the flip side is a very compelling argument: that American soldiers are out of harms way, enjoying improved chances to be eventually reunited with their families. Lastly, when it comes to intelligence, drones take away the possibility of pilots giving away information to enemies if they are captured. All in all, both sides present very convincing arguments, whether it be feeling based sympathy from the ‘against’ side, or the factual based case presented by the ‘for’ side.
