Voting should not be compulsory. Why does it make any sense for someone who is uneducated on a topic/person to vote for that person when it controls our nation? Voting should not be compulsory because that is dangerous, and would only have a negative impact. If someone were to vote for someone they are educated on (if it was mandatory) then this would make sense. Another way to make voting compulsory and to have it be fair for everyone is it the government had a box that said "no vote". This would not be against compulsory, and it would allow everyone to actually participate if they want. Overall, having voting be mandatory is a risky mistake that could very negatively impact the USA.
Something that could benefit people on either side of this fence is if they give out more information on all candidates, and what the subjects they have to stand on mean (ie education, equal rights, business, etc).
