Public school is rich with diverse learning experiences I enjoyed going to public school as a child and I will be sending my own children there too. I felt like I learned valuable life experiences that couldn't be replicated if my mom homeschooled me. I learned about diversity through my fellow student's experiences, learned to interact socially with others, and explored who I was and what I was passionate about without the pressure of needing to confine to my parents expectations all the time. I created powerful important relationships with my teachers and mentors, people who I feel have shaped my ability to think outside the box, problem solve, and communicate more effectively. I wouldn't want to raise my child without exposure to these elements, I felt I grew from them and learned to think critically, and more objectively about the world around me.
