No its a competition According to Websters dictionary a sport is: a contest or game in which people do certain physical activities according to a specific set of rules and compete against each other. The key word is PHYSICAL ACTIVITIES, this means that video games are not because they take no physical activeness. That is why I think video games are not a sport, but rather a competition.
