It is necessary. Just as much as i love animals, i hate to say that animal experimentation is something like a necessary evil. Assume that animal experimentation is for once actually banned, most of the research in the medical sector come to an abrupt halt. The whole medical community would come to a stand still. Surgeons in training are trained by first making them dissect animals, if that were to be banned, the surgeons that would graduate from medical schools would be untrained, who lack training and thus blunders would be inevitable. Plus, if you're okay eating animals, you shouldn't mind their dissection. Animals are lovely, they don't deserve what's being done to them either, however if you say that we should stop animal experimentation, then would you like to be the test subject?
