Shakespeare prepares us for life. Shakespeare may be vulgar and brutal but so is the world we live in. Take Romeo and Juliet for example they fall in love but can't be together because of family drama, They're family's end up driving them to kill themselves. Those two things right there are everyday things in our world. We like to say we are over segregation but the truth is were not. A rich girl might fall in love with a poor boy and not care about the money but her dad is gonna try his best to drive that poor boy away. Lets not get started on the fact that suicide is so normal in our society. Im 15 and ive had to deal with 4 suicides in my family in the last 7 years. My family drove my brothers and my uncles to kill themselves because they kept pressuring them to make money, Get married, Buy a house, Etc. And just the stress and heartache from disappointing your family can take the happiest person and drive them to die. Shakespeare takes real world problems and created plays and stories to teach them to people and tell them that we can cope with things. No harm can come from teaching world lessons in the form of Shakespeare.
