The students can't even spell! I took a class with them it it was a joke. The spelling and grammar of most of the students were no better then the third grade level. What good is a degree if you still can't use basic English when you're done? Don't hey make you take a Christian World view course? Yeah, that's important.
Atheist discrimination is everywhere! Forms of Atheist discrimination include social ostracism, school bullying, the denial of student’s rights to form Atheist clubs in public schools, government promoted religious proselytizing, the wide perception that Atheists are untrustworthy, the government promotion of religion in social service programs and the government promotion of religion in the military.
Atheism is discriminated against in politics.
The constitutions of seven US states ban Atheists from holding public office:
Arkansas: "No person who denies the being of a God shall hold any office in
the civil departments of this State, nor be competent to testify as a witness in any
Maryland: "That no religious test ought ever to be required as a qualification
for any office of profit or trust in this State, other than a declaration of belief in
the existence of God; nor shall the Legislature prescribe any other oath of office
than the oath prescribed by this Constitution.”
Mississippi: "No person who denies the existence of a Supreme Being shall
hold any office in this state."
North Carolina: "The following persons shall be disqualified for office: First,
any person who shall deny the being of Almighty God."
South Carolina: "No person who denies the existence of a Supreme Being shall
hold any office under this Constitution."
Tennessee: "No person who denies the being of God, or a future state of rewards
and punishments, shall hold any office in the civil department of this state."
Texas: "No religious test shall ever be required as a qualification to any office,
or public trust, in this State; nor shall any one be excluded from holding office on
account of his religious sentiments, provided he acknowledges the existence of a
Pennsylvania’s constitution discriminates against Atheists by affording special
protection to Theists only.
"No person who acknowledges the being of a God and a future state of rewards
and punishments shall, on account of his religious sentiments, be disqualified
to hold any office or place of trust or profit under this Commonwealth."
George H. W. Bush has been quoted as saying, “No, I don't know that Atheists
should be regarded as citizens, nor should they be regarded as patriotic. This is
one nation under God."
In child custody cases, many judges assume that religion is necessary in order to
properly raise a child. They also assume that Atheists are incapable of morality.
This leads to parents who attend church, having a greater preference over parents who don’t.
The Boy Scouts of America excludes Atheists as members based on their assertion that Atheists are incapable of being both sufficiently moral and patriotic. This organization receives public funding, yet gets away with this unethical practice based on their status of being “private”.
Many Atheists are also discriminated against in the workplace. This happens often, because many actually don’t believe this is wrong.
Even family members will often become disowned if they admit to being Atheist.
This type of bigotry sadly tears families apart.
It was research?!? He didn't go to court, because he was "exhausted". He used a credit card to access the porn account. Is the money from his book going towards child sex victims? No. So what's all that nonsense about trying to help sex victims? The man was rich and famous so he got away with it.
Separation of Church and State Even though the pledge doesn't specify which "God" America is under, it still discriminates against Atheists. We have a separation of Church and State. The words "Under God" were not even part of the original pledge and were added in the 50's due an unfounded fear of Communism. No child should be indoctrinated into believing in a God by a State run school.
"The South will rise again" It took Mississippi until now to ratify the 13th amendment. The rednecks in the south still can't accept defeat of the Civil War and claim the South will rise again. They really need to join the 21st Century and get over themselves. It's like traveling through a time machine when going there.
Christians need to back off I'm sick and tired of Christians threatening me with eternal torture, claiming there is some war on Christmas, telling me I have to say Merry Christmas instead of Happy Holidays, falsely claiming that America is a Christian Nation, that Atheists are Devil Worshipers, that Atheists can't join the Boy Scouts, that Atheists can't hold public office (7 States even have it in their Constitutions), that Evolution is just a theory, that morality comes from the Bible, that gays are an abomination, that women shouldn't have abortions and that they are sure they are going to heaven. I refuse to tolerate such nonsense and such rude behavior. They are holding back science and trying to make laws against civil rights, and that is hurting us all.
Sex isn't everything. Dogs can have sex. It's not all that. Seriously, it's a few contractions that happen to feel good. As humans, we have so many other things to enjoy in life. Music, sports, food, travel, books....the list is endless. Sex is so over rated. If all you acre about is sex, you need help.
When you indoctrinate a child, and threaten them with hell... When you indoctrinate a child, and threaten them with hell...that is, in fact, child abuse. You are abusing a child mentally and causing them to fear. That's terrorism. Also, telling them to believe in lies that can't be proven as if they were fact only puts the child at a major disadvantage in a world based on science. Many of the high paying jobs are scientific in anture and placing a child at a disadvantage like that is abuse.
There is no Evidence In order to believe something as true, a person should demand evidence, otherwise they are just gullible. The burden of proof is on those who make a positive claim. Anyone who claims that a God exists, has the burden of providing evidence for that claim. Extraordinary claims require extraordinary proof. Claims without proof can be dismissed without proof.
It may have some small value, but it's a waste of time Even a broken clock has value twice a day, but it would be a waste of time looking at that clock until it showed the right time. It's a waste of time watch TV, even if it has a slight value to it. Does that mean people shouldn't waste time? Maybe, but that's not what the question is.
