Standardizing the curriculum by declaring that everyone must reach the same level, is cynical at worst, naïve at best, and unequal resources. Curriculum and instruction denote the essence of what many believe to be the core of education but people who call for the national education standards demands for tougher standards, which often assume that better just means harder.
