As it does cause any harm to the society, gay marriage must be accepted. When two same sex couple marry each other, does it hurt the society? It does not. So why not accept gay marriage? They are human beings just like us, wishing to be happy. We are all equal whatever your sex orientation is. The law regarding marriage should not be limited to man and woman: it should be extended to everyone. All they want is to be accepted and treated like normal beings.
Having that enormous number of nuclear warheads prevent aggression from other countries which might result to war. The United States has become a might in enforcing the proper conduct in the international community because no countries can resist its world dominance. Unequal share of power may be present, but it is proven propitious as it prevents possible conflict among countries, like what happened during cold war where the sight of total destruction from nuclear outbreak prevented an actual confrontation between US and Soviet Union. To make sense, countries don't need to level up with US in terms of the number of nuclear weapons as it will just diminish their relationship with other countries, and the world is in good terms now so I find it as never an issue.
China will the a big power, but not the next superpower. China's economic growth indicates that it is country not to reckon with; a country that is strong. However, its economic growth is not stable to take over to that of the United States'. Even if we assume that it has stable economic growth, still economy alone does not indicate that it will be the next big thing. China's political condition is another thing we should consider. Its government is tainted with corruption that would hamper the possibility of becoming next superpower. Also, China's aggression against its neighbors significantly affects its ambition of becoming the next US.
Burning a flag shows disloyalty and disrespect to the country and its history. The flag represents the identity of a country, that includes its history where heroes sacrificed their lives. They raised the flag to show unity in fighting against oppresors. Blood had spilled in the flag as the fighting continued. Valued by our heroes and people who died protecting it, the flag should be respected to show appreciation to what our ancestors have done to protect us from others. Any act that shows respect to the flag shall be made illegal.
Whatever we do, reflects our selfish nature. If we don't help others, we are called "selfish," but if we help them, we are not. The reality, however, is that both the aforementioned scenarios depict our selfishness. For example, we don't help people for personal interests, similarly, we help people for personal interests, as we want to be happy or other related reasons. Clearly, in both cases, you do it because of yourself, whether helping or not.
The possibility of cancer to occur is higher in regular cigarettes than e-cigarettes. Admittedly, e-cigarettes are dangerous; however, ordinary cigarettes are far more dangerous. A cigarette can cause cancer and other deadly diseases that affected people all over the word. On the other hand, e-cigarettes do not even account to a single death. No account of death ever reported regarding the use of e-cigarette. By comparison, e-cigarette although not regulated, is safer compared to a cigarette.
Yes. It is safe. I heard no accident of a pilotless plane but i heard a lot from piloted plane. Just recently, the mh370 crashed because of the pilot. Imagine if there were pilots, the plane would not crashed. Also, hijacking is avoided as hijackers can no longer accomplish their plans because they cannot direct a pilot to do what ever they want.
Absolute power does not corrupt absolutely, it's the corrupt people who abuse their power. Power does not do things; people who have power do things. And whether the power is used properly or corruptly is up to the person. For example: Mothers have great power over their children, and teachers have power over their students. Does the power corrupt them? ... .. ..
Yes. The new generation should just die to pave a way to a much better generation. To clarify, This opinion does address the practical consequences if death of this generation does occur in real life. This merely will provide some insights.
This new (current) generation isn't the best in history. Our best people have died, Mostly during the world wars. For example, Pure and intelligent Germans have died during the Nazi Era. They were geniuses like the German scientist who discovered the atom bomb and like Einstein who was a german. Unfortunately, They all died. Today's Germans are nothing compared to the original Germans. The Germans of today are mostly a product of the rapes committed by the Russians when they were invading Germany.
No. Marijuana should not be legalized because it is considered harmful to the users, immoral based on our traditions, and stepping stone to serious drugs. Users of marijuana will experience health problems like distorted perception, hallucinations, lung infection, heart problems, and other serious diseases. Another, using marijuana for recreational purposes is an act of immorality because it violates our precious tradition. Lastly, a person who uses marijuana will likely incline to use more serious drugs like heroine and cocaine, as stated in stepping stone theory.
