Suppose there was an incident regarding safety (ex., shooter, fight, bullying, etc.). Closed circuit cameras will be able to capture the incident and what is happening for the police or something, and the film can be used as evidence or such. A lot of times incidents like these happen and there is no evidence against the perpetrator, but closed circuit cameras would be able to capture what is happening.

After school is out and everyone is out of the building a robber might sneak in. Some can pick the lock if the building is locked. Closed circuit cameras can catch the robbers easily. Then the right person can be caught and other robbers will not attempt to go into the school so often.
Having closed circuit cameras in classrooms would show a fundamental lack of trust in students and teachers. It would not be right to make a place of learning and sharing into a surveillance state. Ok. It is understandable that you could use it so kids who did something wrong can get the justice they deserve. But using cameras implies that you do not trust the children and the teacher to do what is right. Installing cameras is expensive, and why install cameras when you can have hall monitors instead, that gives you surveillance over the children and more jobs. The teachers will not teach as they teach best; passionately, because they might feel like everything they say could be used against them. The children will be self-conscious about what they are doing and will not concentrate completely on learning.
Privacy, encroaching on rights, expensive, and is a hassle. These things are true to be the most prominent arguments against allowing cameras in classrooms. Although this may sound like a great idea to monitor the kids, it will result badly because if a teacher cannot control his/her own students, then they shouldn't be allowed to teach for they are there to set an example. Also putting cameras in classrooms would be encroaching on the students and the teachers privacy. In order to allow these cameras to even be installed, one must get consent forms from the teacher and students, which is a hassle, to ensure that no one is unaware of the situation. Next, installing cameras may not be as expensive, but hiring people to continuously watch the surveillance cameras, and buying the monitors to watch all cameras will be expensive. This is also a hassle because not many children are extreme trouble makers to need personal surveillance, so it is unfair to watch all of the children for being good students when they should be keeping a closer eye on those few trouble makers. This constant surveillance may also make the students uncomfortable, so they may be thinking more about how they are acting since they are being watched instead of focusing on learning new concepts and trying to improve.
How can you classify art into to a set of skills or science or even math or english. All classes have different needs so if one class learns better by project and the other by essays then you have to modify the curriculum to match the class learning style and ability. Using videos to evaluate teacher behavior is not right, and it reduces teaching to a set of skills that some observer looks for when watching it. Their teaching is restricted to basic rules. Since cameras are constantly watching them, they don’t teach freely from the heart, and can fake their behavior. They will talk about it, and about the observation of their teaching. We will hear teaching delivering a prescriptive curriculum and teaching to the tests in order to secure a good spot amongst the staff.
