Congress does have to hold public hearings in regard to the NSA surveillance. This is because the public knows too much already. I wish it was something that was kept secret but at this point to try to hide it again will only cause a public uproar and no one will be happy.
Where is the oversight of the NSA? It's time to bring their overuse of electronic surveillance out into the open. The NSA is so secretive, the employees who testify will all have names like "John Smith" and "Jane Doe" and will probably wear ski masks to conceal their identities when testifying. Congress should demand answers and the public should get them seeing as how taxpayers foot the bill for the agency that is spying on the people who fund it.
The true skeptics aren't going to believe anything said in such a hearing, but it'll appease some people. This needs to be taken seriously, we are supposed to be protected better than we apparently are based on some of the things the NSA has been doing. It's time for them to own those things.
Congress should hold public meetings on the NSA surveillance program. I think they should make it public so it would ease the minds on everyone about what they are up to. Many people think they are invading too much into everyone and getting private information and collecting it and they are denying it. So I think a public meeting would help all those concerned.
I think Congress should hold public hearings on the NSA surveillance program. We've had enough of the secrecy and would appreciate a little bit of honesty in the open air. As long as it doesn't infringe upon cases still pending, that require privacy, it should all be aired to the public.
Yes, Congress should hold public hearings on the NSA surveillance program, because people have a lot of opinions on the issues. People should be allowed to have a national dialogue on such a hot-button issue. Congress should listen to what people are telling them on whether they want the NSA program. Hearings would be a positive part of national discourse.
The reason I think that congress should hold public hearings on the NSA surveillance program is because congress should know what is going in the NSA surveillance program and also to know if it affective or if it is just some thing that have that they needs to be changed.
