We already have this, It's called Facebook! But all joking aside, I recognize the power, The effectiveness, Of passing social judgement on others. It works in probably 95% of people, As they strive for acceptance. And the loners for whom it doesn't, Its a sink or swim situation for them where they usually have to choose to come back into the fold to some degree or end up ostracized.
My only real reservation with this practice is that the ones passing judgement are fallible and I don't trust the process of mob rule. Now if it was judgement being passed by some kind of code that had its roots outside of just the public's sentiment at the time … then id be more apt to support it. (In the case of religions, Or natural law, For example)
Act like a fool and start threatening or mistreated people and you get recorded on social media.
The person loses their respect and maybe their job because they do not know how to act civil.
The credit system that China uses is too brutal and wants to curb people into perfect beings who are unable to criticizes the government.
Public shame from people is enough but punishment from the government is too harsh.
