Should Cuts Be Made to Domestic Social Programs to Protect the Defense Budget?

  • Domestic Social Programs More Important than Defense Budget

We don't need to make cuts to domestic social programs in order to pad our defense budget. We should lessen our aid to foreign countries rather than hurting our domestic programs. Without a doubt, such cuts would help our country better manage its money and improve domestic programs and defense programs alike.

  • No, too much is spent on defense.

We start pointing fingers at poor people who get some government aid, but we forget that we spend more than we can ever imagine on the defense budget to start and continue wars that no one really understands. The reasons have to do with politics, not protection. Better to concentrate on domestic issues.
