• All countries should!

Right now, the major first world countries of the world need to take a stand and federally legalize gay marriage. America and many European countries are edging closer every day, but France especially - who have connections to African countries that are homophobic primarily because of the attitudes of the occupation - need to take a stand.

  • No reason not to

There doesn't seem to be a reason not to legalize gay marriage, other than religion, which should not dictate the rules of a secular state. Legalizing gay marriage would benefit a large number of people, but would really only hurt others because they are offended by the idea - not a reason not to do something.

  • Yes, every nation should legalize it.

Of course France should legalize gay marriage because it should be legal in every single nation in the world. There were laws against interracial marriage in many countries until relatively recently. Now we are evolving to understand the equality of all people so that should extend to marriage rights also.

  • Yes, They Should

While it has long been a controversial subject, gay marriage is slowly winning over the hearts and minds of people across the globe. As states in the United States begin to legalize gay marriage, so should the rest of the world. There is not reason for France to be any different.

  • Yes They Should

France should legalize gay marriage for several reason. The first reason they should is that it is the right thing to do. We cannot continue to deny rights to members of our societies simply because some people find it icky. This is silly, childish, and pretty evil. The second reason why France should legalize marriage equality is that the majority of people in that country are demanding that the law be changed.

  • France Should Legalize Gay Marriage

Life, Liberty, and the Pursuit of Happiness are some of the basic rights that every human should have. One of the ways to pursue happiness is by spending your life with the person you love. Of course one can do that without being married, but one of the best ways to show love to someone is to legally marry them. Everyone should have the right to marry the legally consenting adult they love.

  • Not At All

Gay is wrong and no country should allow it. France is the romance capital of the world and it would be contradicting themselves. France wouldn't be the same with gay marriage. Everything about France is about man and woman romance. For example you'll never see a photo of 2 gays sat underneath the Eiffel Tower kissing, it's always man and women. It would cause chaos for France if they legalised gay marriage.

  • No, France has other issues.

No, France should not legalize gay marriage, because there are economic problems in France that the country should worry about first. Europe is in a financial crisis. Greece's debt crisis fell to all of the other nations in the European Union, and France was a part of that. France should deal with its economic issues before it thinks about gay marriage and what that would look like.

  • Legalize it everywhere.

As I have previously stared in past arguments, I do not have any real issue with gay marriage. I don't see what the huge deal is, besides people hating it because of their religion. I say, let them love and marry who ever they choose to, as they are people.

  • No they shouldn't

Marriage is by definition one man and one woman. It is as metaphysically impossible for two men or two women to be married to one another as it is to make circles square or to make colorless color. Gay people are free to form relationships with one another but society is not obligated in justice to recognize those relationships as the equivalent of real marriages.
