  • Marissa Alexander Was Defending Herself

Marissa Alexander should not have been sentenced to any time at all. When she fired a warning shot, she was merely trying to protect her own safety and that should have never even gone to court as it was clearly self defense. She actually showed great restraint because many people fearing for their life would have shot the other party, not simply fired a harmless warning shot into a wall.

  • It's Live or Die

Marissa Alexander unfairly was sentenced to twenty years in prison for firing a warning shot at her husband when she was in fear for her life. She has repeated that he has abused her physically and mentally in the past so on that day she was scared he was coming to do it again, if not worse. She didn't aim at him or try to do any physical harm to him, she only wanted him out of her house so she could feel safe again. People commit much worse crimes without getting any type of sentence, this mother unfortunately is getting every law in the book thrown at her.
