As long as people know to play it in moderation
As long as people aren't addicted to minecraft to the point where they would rather play it than board games or participate in outdoor activities or read, It shouldn't be banned. It is not scary and any violence is very cartoonish and pixelated. It gives you the freedom to get as creative as you please.
