  • We should all be paid the same!

"If we were all paid the same, Everyone would just go for the easiest jobs. " That may be true, But if you think about it, People already go after the easiest jobs because they are the jobs that pay the most already. For example:

Someone who sits on their butt in the air conditioning all day listening to people's problems (AKA psychiatrists, Etc) make $100K annually, While hard-working floor laborers that work in a sweatbox factory only make around $45k. . . And there are people who work 2-3 jobs just to make a livable income and they will still never see $100k in their life.

So, Yes, We should all be paid the same amount. Life is unfair, But it doesn't have to be unfair for all things.

  • Opposite is a totalitarian regime in a poor country, that pays everyone almost nothing, as all the money is kept by the elite.

For example, what would "same amount of money" mean? Let's take a perfect Utopian society for example. Money does not exist there, so technically everyone receives an equal amount of money - nothing. Yet everyone is encouraged to pursue the knowledge in the field that interests him/her, so there is no shortage of workers. The other is slavery people get by with little pay can hardly afford to live most the time and end up dying while trying to get what they need in order to continue living.

Let's take a perfect Utopian society for example, Money does not exist there, so technically everyone receives an equal amount of money - nothing. Yet everyone is encouraged to pursue the knowledge in the field that interests him/her, so there is no shortage of certain workers people are able to survive and live with helping each other out. The other is ether forced slavery being kept alive just to work or working for little pay trying to scrape by just to survive for a day

  • Less selfishness, more kindness

Absolutely! This is the 21st generation, where people earn very differently to the person next to them, however, many people live in poverty, while others live in mansions. All jobs, regardless of the profession, difficulty or common-ness, should give the same salaries. All jobs are important to society, so why should one person earn less or more?? All income should be redistributed.

  • People no longer need to earn a living

We have the technology to take care handsomely for every human on Earth. Therefore I can see no reason why anyone, anywhere should go without.
Most people do jobs which create no wealth(as defined by the ability to take care of so many human lives for so many forward days). So it would be more economical to pay many people to stay at home,

  • Yes, yes they should

Throughout history, discrimination in all forms has been a constant battle; whether it's race, gender, religion, beliefs, appearance or anything else that makes one person different from another. One significant discrimination problem the world is battling, takes place in the workplace. Women, men, and many others are being paid differently for doing the same exact job. Unfair right? The realization that man, woman, and others can produce the same results, have the same education, and have the same capacity to accomplish the same overall tasks as men is becoming more popular. Especially as the prevalent thought of women as not as valuable as men is constantly being proven to be incorrect, which is why everyone deserves equal pay. We deserve equal pay because we are all equal, because women and others can do work just as good as men, and because the amount of money lost by them has terrible effects.

  • Yes we should

If we all dont make the same amount of money, then people will be classed as "poor" nad "rich" and then we'd have some people in the middle. Whne people are rich and they see people who are in the middle of poor and rich or are poor, then they may discriminate against them.

  • Ha ha ha ha

Ha ha h ah aha ha ha ha ha ha ah ah ah ah ah ha ha ha h i love this world everyones so stupid ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha h aha ha ha h ah ha ha ha h a ha h ah a

  • No people should be paid differently

People should be paid differently, because if everyone was paid the same, people would choose the easiest jobs and all the hard working jobs, no one will do and that will affect our economy immensely. Furthermore, people work hard for what they deserve, so its only fair that they get paid accordingly.

  • No, people should be paid for what they produce.

No, people should not get paid an equal amount of money, because socialism does not work. Under a socialist system, where everyone is paid the same, people will want to do the easiest jobs. There is no reason to work hard to learn everything you need to know to be a doctor, because you will get paid the same waiting tables.

  • Innovation Suffers without Incentive

Opportunity for better cirumstances drives innovation. Comfort no matter the circumstances mutes innovation. If the opportunity for increased pay is absent, Innovation suffers, Production suffers, And the goal suffers. Humans are really fairly simple when it comes right down to it. They gravitate to what provides the things they desire. If a person deems the things they desire impossible to achieve, They reduce their effort.

  • Different people do different jobs.

You can't just assume that having equal pay will be fair. It would mean that janitors would be payed just as much as a pop star that hit the top charts. One person might be snoozing on the job, While the other is working super hard. And besides, It's not like poor people will start getting jobs just because you change how much the jobs pay.

  • People shouldn't get paid equally

In life there is the hard workers and the non hard workers, People who have a higher salary usually earned it. If we all got payed equally no one would want to do the hard jobs the world would be in total chaos nobody would do their job property. If everyone where to be payed equally people wouldn't create new inventions or even maybe stop trying to find a cure for cancer. Doctors would quit their jobs because they aren't getting payed an of for what they are doing, Saving life's. In conclusion if everyone where to be payed equally unqualified people who don't work properly would be getting the same salary as licensed people with a degree.

  • Everyones work ethic is different

Everyone, Naturally, Have different work ethics. Two people who have the same job should not get paid equally if one pulls more weight than the other. Also, There are jobs that require a higher mental capacity, And there are jobs that require more work. It just doesn't make sense to pay an engineer thats 30 years into his career with a Nobel Peace prize the same as, Say, An 18 year old part time babysitter.

  • There is a more efficient method.

Every earns different pay by the quality of work they do. Everyone can earn the same amount of maximum pay, But the pay could go down every time you make a mistake. This will encourage them to increase the quality of work, Which in return will improve the average quality of life. If everyone made the same amount of money regardless, Then then the quality of work will go down and the quality of life will go down in return. The system will crumble along with the toleration from its citizens.

  • It's not fair for the people who work hard!

People that do jobs that are sensitive, Like a surgeon, Will get paid the same just like the people who do much easier jobs, Like working a t a till at a local supermarket. Just so unfair! People will most likely go for easier jobs if were paid the same.

  • It is not fair for those people who try hard

It’s not fair for people who tried had a school and university ok because they really tried hard and spent money at university and if they get paid the same there would be no point going to universities and get the same amount of money as some who dropped out

  • It’s unfair for other people

It unfair. Imagine a person who studied for 10 year and was in debt cause he/she have to pay off the university fees but the drop out would never be in debt and no matter what, He would never have the same amount of money as the drop out person
