If rich people have more than enough money and are living a lavish lifestyle surely they can pay for those who are struggling to make ends meet and are in need of healthcare. They can at least pay more taxes in correlation to their income. No one should have to suffer/avoid healthcare/die because they are poor.
Rich people should be forced to pay for poor people's health insurance through taxes. It is right that the people who benefit most from our economy should have to give back to the country that allowed them to be so prosperous. Taxation of the rich is a good way for the government to raise revenue.
I do think that those who earn more money and can afford a bit more in taxes should pay a bit more. This way everyone benefits from a combined money pool. However I don't think that health care should be included in this. To expect someone who makes more money to pay for everyone else's healthcare is absurd.
Rich people should not have to pay for those who can't afford health care, however no one should have the problem of not being able to afford health care. If hospitals and doctors offices would not raise the prices of everything then people would be able to afford health care without relying on others to pay for it. Until then unfortunately someone has to foot the bill and it can't be the lower class people because they do not have the means to pay for any of it.
Rich people should not be forced to pay for those who don't have health insurance. This is because of the fact that rich people have earned their money and do not need to support people who do not have something. The people who should pay for their health insurance are the people who want or need it.
Rich people should not be forced to pay for the people who do not have health insurance or can not afford it. The government is supposed to take care of that not the people who have actually managed to have a good income despite the bad economic state of the US.
