  • Open carry should be legal

If you were to put yourself in the mind of a criminal, that was about to rob a gas station, would you go on with the robbery if not only the clerk had a gun, but also a customer did to? Stricter gun laws will only make the problems worse. Criminals don't listen to laws, honest people do. Allowing the honest to carry a weapon will not make things worse, only make things better

  • By far yes

Every person should have the right to have a weapon for Protection against the enemy or the intruder. It is in the constitution. The 2nd amendment clearly states: A well regulated militia, being necessary to the security of a free state, the right of the people to keep and bear arms, shall not be infringed.

  • yes they should

I think that open carry is by far more safer than concealed carry because one would be giving the potential offender a warning if the offender can see that he or she is armed whereas a concealed carrier would not be emitting any type of hint that he or she is armed and therefore would have to wait until it is possibly too late.

  • You don't need to pass a law to allow something.

A well regulated militia being necessary to the security of a free state, the right of the people to keep and bear arms shall not be infringed. The Second Amendment (Amendment II) to the United States Constitution protects the right of individual Americans to keep and bear arms, regardless of service in a militia. The right is not unlimited and does not prohibit all regulation of firearms and similar devices.[1] State and local governments are limited to the same extent as the federal government from infringing this right. The Second Amendment was adopted on December 15, 1791, as part of the first ten amendments comprising the Bill of Rights.

  • The 2nd ammendment

I think that states should pass open carry laws, and yes the argument could be made that the 2nd ammendment never said we had the right to carry them openly, but if the bad guys like thieves or murderers saw the amount of people that could defend themselves because they had guns showing i believe they would attack people less and would rob fewer stores.

  • The state government should not pass the open carry law, because people will place their bullets inside the gun without a officer asking.

The crime rate will rise and the entire society will be surround with guns and the government will not get involve in the situation. The government will give the right for criminals to have a gun without the police asking them. This is the reason why the state should not pass the open carry law.

  • No i dont agree

I honestly think that it would bring more danger to us the people . Some people are just to mentally unstable they might forget where they left it and children can find it and an a gruesome accident can happen people will feel scared during the day and the night some people think that they need to have weapons to be tough or strong no you need words and actions not everything is about showing who has this or that also the homicide rates would go higher then ever it wont be hard for kids to be accessible to guns kids may think that they have reasons to shoot somebody just because they have problems there has been so many horrible incidents where kids have brought guns to school because they have been bullied and have murdered many innocent kids that were at the wrong place at the wrong time .

  • By far no

I take the position that no people should not be allowed to carry guns openly because not all who carry guns are trustworthy, it puts more guns into the hands of more people and because in the midst of violence police will come to handle the situation but they won't know the good people from the bad.
