  • Emergency Use, Break Times Okay

Cell phones are everywhere. Tech-savvy children use the devices to call parents and keep in touch with friends. As such, use of texting and Internet browsing at school has increased. There should be clear guidelines for using cell phones at school, in addition to explicit punishments for breaking the rules. Kids should be allowed to use cell phones at school, but only during assigned breaks such as lunch and recess, and in the event of an emergency.

  • Yes students should be allowed to use mobile phones at school.

The job of the public schools and its' teachers, something they seem to forget more and more today, is to teach, to educate. Their job is NOT to dictate behavior, let alone morality with it. If a student chooses to use a cell phone in school, that is their choice, their business, not the school's. It's really as simple as that, focus on educating the kid, not telling it what it can and can't do in its' own personal life.

  • Mobile Phones Necessary Way Of Life

Yes, students should be allowed to use mobile phones at school. In today’s world, mobile phones are a complete necessity. Many teenagers have after school jobs and work late into the evening. Cell phones are the only means of communication between these kids and their parents. Cell phones are also the way kids in school plan their social lives, and this is a very important part of a teenager’s life. It’s a different world than it was in our parent’s day and cell phones need to be accepted as the new norm.

  • Advancing with the world

Students should get used to the world around them, technology is now a big part of living and cell phones can be very educational, cell phones are good for students if they have emergencies. They are okay if they are kept on silent through class time. Texting can be a distraction but they should be allowed in breaks (reccess)

  • A key tool for learning

Make full us of these computers as a mobile learning tools and the emphasis for their use in school shifts from being about social communication to a key aspect of their learning. The most obvious functions of recording didactic teachers delivery and taking photos/video of experiments/demonstration should make a massive difference to the way students are able to work. The research and computer functions have almost no boundaries, including the potential for Skype with students in other schools/parts of the world.

  • Its a part of everyday life

Why not allow it if it becomes a tool to teach. Surely the classroom is a place we send the children to become ready for the working world, not sure about the rest of you guys but using a mobile to find information out is something I do on a regular basis.

  • students should be aloud to bring cell phones to school

Yes students should be aloud to bring cell phones to school. Because teachers dont do what they are supposed to do,and that is teach.Their to busy wearing about other poeple.sothat is why students bring their cell phones to school , becuase they dont learn. And thats my opinion

  • Cell Phones

Elementary school students should have cell phones because you gain knowledge and other information that is needed throughout your life. You can also look things up so no more money is wasted on computers. There should be a law though that kids cannot text, disturb classmates, or ditch school because of cell phones.

  • Students should be allowed to carry phones for safety.

They can use it in class if there is a situation, and the officers can come to school, just quicker, like the Newtown situation. You can be in touch with your children and know their whereabouts. (The Pew study noted that 48 percent of parents use the phone to monitor their child's location.) Your kids can reach you in the event of an emergency and vice-versa. If in danger, your children can reach the authorities or a medical provider. Phones can be silenced during class or study periods and be active only in appropriate places. Cell phones create a convenience that was previously unavailable. With cell phones, you can easily reach your kids for any reason: to ask them questions, to change plans, or to simply say hello.

  • Yes! Cell Phones Are Helpful!

Students should be allowed to use mobile phones at school, because, I don't know about you guys, but I use my phone on a regular basis to look things up. If the phones becomes a problem, then the administrators could put the phones Wi-fi on the same servers as the laptops are, and monitor them that way.

  • It should not be allowed.

No, students should not be allowed to use mobile phones at school. Children attend school in order to gain all the knowledge and skills to prepare them for being adults. Essentially, that is their job. They are there to pay attention and absorb that knowledge to help them become well-rounded individuals. Mobile phones are nothing but a distraction and not necessary to have at school. It is very disrespectful to the teachers and administration if children are on their phones while at school. Should there be an emergency either the parent or child can be contacted through a phone in the school office.

  • School is for learning...

When you have electronics at school, it disrupts the learning environment. If somebody uses cell phones during class, and they download games, if they play with it during class, it is very disrespectful to the teacher, because the students are not paying attention. The teacher will feel very sad, that students don't give her/him their full attention, and will feel the need not to teach, because no one is paying attention to her/him. Some people say that sometimes the cell phones can save their life, by phoning the police, but, THERE IS NO REASON WHY TEACHERS CANNOT USE THEIR OWN!

  • Students should not be allowed to use their phones at school.

No mobile phones should be allowed because kids don't pay attention to the teachers. They end up getting bad grades and then they complain to the teachers, asking why did they fail. Students using mobile phones during school causes trouble and maybe failing at school. Students should really not use phones in school. They should use phones outside of school only.

  • No phone is school

Kids in elementary school are not mature enough to use cell phones. Of course they will learn to use cell phones eventually. But this kind of learning should be done at home, and only when they can be responsible with the device, can they bring it to school, preferably by the time they are in high school

  • They will cheat.

They will use the calculator. They will use the dictionary. They will text people and get the answers from other people. They can take a picture of that problem and send it to others for answers. This is why students should not be able to bring their phones to the school.

  • It is not advisable...

Mobile phones can cause a distraction in education. They can disturb teachers and students. For example, if you were working hard on a piece of work, concentrating hard, and a person's phone rings, it disrupts the whole class. You may become side-tracked or the teacher may be interrupted during speaking to the class. Thus teaching would be constantly disrupted if this kept happening. Thus education standards would deteriorate. Looking then at long term effects, if this was happening every day, you would be wasting five minutes a day, so nearly half an hour a week, and so that would be over ten hours a year of disruption. Also, mobile phones provide a large temptation to cheat in tests. They can communicate to almost anywhere and anyone in the world. Because they are small, students can quietly and discreetly send a text and it can go unnoticed. You got to school to learn, not to waste time playing games or cheating in tests.

  • Distraction of phones

Teens are easily distracted. Mobiles only add up to the distraction. It disrupts their studies. Using phones at school disturbs the school environment and doesn't help the students to concentrate on the tasks to be done there. Phones also encourage copying which is not helpful to students in any way.

  • Mobile phones don't help students learn.

Students shouldn't be able to use mobile phones because when they are texting, they don't go as far in writing because of texting language. Mobile phones dont help them learn in any way. I think that cell phones are one of the worst things to have in a school. All phones should be banned

According to me STUDENTS MUST BE ALLOWED TO USE CELL PHONES thats a basic necessity for every child after their completion of 8 th standard because elders think that we are always addicted to phones but we are not just for a satisfaction of us we do get addicted by those members who come and do show off their mistake that time we get angry and try to show our range but that time we lose our focus and we get addicted usage of phones is good but till some extent
