Should the Catholic church stop preaching about abortion, gay marriage, and contraception?

  • Yes they should stop

Honestly, what would be the point of continuing to preach a message that is rooted in ancient idiocy and ignorance. The world has bigger problems than whether or not two guys are tying the knot somewhere. The Catholic church has way more internal issues that they need to be focusing on than what happens between two consenting adults do in their bedroom. They are extremely uneducated on contraception. Contraception is not abortion. Contraception interrupts the ovulation cycle and stops the egg from fertilizing, therefore preventing the pregnancy in the first place. How can you abort something that isn't even there.

  • Separation of Church and State

Separation of Church and State is a LAW, as well as freedom of religion in the most of the World. So the "this is what god says" argument does not count. No harm in preaching, but people will do what they please because you can't force your religion on them. Not to mention that more and more people are realizing that truth that there is no god, so they are not bound by the bible. So people can do what they please, and not have to worry about heaven or hell.

  • We can do what we want.

Gay marriage is not truly marriage. Marriage is between a man and a woman, not a man and man or woman and a woman. It doesn't work that way. It's the cold hard truth and may be hard for some people to accept. Its just reality that gay marriage isnt rite.

Humans are selfish by nature, always looking to indulge in pleasure and short-sighted about consequences. Humans need a moral voice that will not change under the pressure to be politically correct. I commend the Catholic church for maintaining an unwavering stand on morality, without which morals in society would completely degenerate.
