Should the Death Penalty be abolished in the United States?

Honestly, I feel like some people legitimately deserve the death penalty. People like Ted Bundy, Jeffery Dahmer, deserve treatment that will truly punish them for the crimes that they commit. The problem I have with it is that there are people on death row that are not guilty. The fact that an innocent person could be killed for something that they didn't do is enough for me to want to abolish the whole system.

  • A punishment for a crime

The death penalty is a way of removing those who have proven that they are no longer able to be memebers of our society. Seeing that banishment is no longer a viable punishment and prison suggest that the prisoner will one day be free, it is resonable to conclude that the death penalty is the only way to deal with those who will not be freed from prison.
