Should the Federal Reserve be removed, and the us treasury retake responsibility for US currency?

  • Without it we would be fine.

The Federal Reserve has the ability to print money, and loan it to banks and governments with interest. They are creating this money out of nothing but are still making a huge profit. We are in debt to ourselves! The Federal Reserve isn't even part of our government system, there is nothing Federal in the name 'Federal Reserve'.

I find it kind of shocking though, how JFK was about to end the Federal Reserve until he was shot and Executive Order 11110 (Act to remove the Fed.) was later on disbanded. Our government needs to retake the responsibility for its own currency, and Private and Central banks should be removed.

Remember the 'American Dream'? How a man can come into the 'Land of Opportunity' and achieve the 'American Dream', to be successful in life in the United States regardless of race, gender, religion, welfare. How is this achievable now with our economy at this rate? There are very little jobs that have decent wages, the dollar value is decreasing everyday with the printing of more money.

"If the American people ever allow private banks to control the issue of their currency, first by inflation, then by deflation, the banks and corporations that will grow up around them will deprive the people of all property until their children wake up homeless on the continent their Fathers conquered."-Thomas Jefferson
