The world changes

Freedom of speech helps the world to change. Without this kind of expression, the world wouldn't be aware of all the problems we have, and wouldn't help to change them. For example, with the Charlie Hebdo problem going around, the world and France got aware of the problem of religion, as well as malala or nelson mandela. Those kind of person broke the limit of speech and it helped to change life positively.

Positively? How so? They got their brains blown. I say that was the true blessed act, not them insulting the Islamic community. Freedom of speech is not freedom to insult people. Restrict the freedom of one while promoting the other. Muslims can't say they hate America but everyone can say they hate Muslims.
Besides, France used the Charlie Hebdo incident to hate on Muslims more, so where is the freedom in that?

Fuhrer-Twilight: "In america, anyone can say i hate america, which is one of the reasons why we have the freedom of speech in the first place. You can insult anyone definitely, because no government can claim to own speech, because the people own speech. "Insult" is a word open for interpretation, therefore it would be easy to lie, and get away with it, if you "insulted" someone without the intent to insult them. Government can then classify what a insult is, giving them more power to make everything illegal so they can arrest you whenever they want."

Freedom of speech can also lead to regression tho. You can't just focus on the positive aspects.

For example, Libel, Slander, Threats, Provocative speech, Speech that incites violence, Fighting words, Yelling "bomb" in public when there is no threat.
