Should time be changed so that it is always the same time every where in the world, rather than having time differences?

  • One universal time would be impractical, except for things like deep-space operations

The time differences are there to make sure that it is ten in the morning and it isn't pitch dark. Also, which time standard would we all agree to go by? The whole idea of universal time is patently ludicrous. It would be tantamount to saying that because it's 90 degrees in Southern California at a given time, it's 90 degrees everywhere.
