The animation industry is treated as a cheap method rather than an artform.

  • Sadly it is

As an aspiring animator, i've noticed that animation is often used as a way to get shows out quickly with minimal effort. If you watch the likes of family guy, you'll see the show features minimal animation or creative character design, and seems to be used as a way to say "haha, animation is a kid's media but we're using it for edgy adult comedy". As a result the animation industry is starting to become oversaturated and treated with little respect, often shown as either a children's media or edgy over-adult 18+ comedy. What are your thoughts?
