The Term EDP, Short for Emotionally Disturbed Person, Is extremely offensive, Degrading, Dehumanizing, Stigmatizing to people with Mental illness and their Family, Friends,
  • Emotionally disturbed, Really! ?

The term emotionally disturbed is disturbing. This label is degrading to anyone. At anytime one can be emotionally distraught. Our lives are challenging, Our tempers can be tested, And it is not fair to label our times of vulnerability. Some people may feel that this is a true issue people face, But we can't come up with a name for every short term issue we face.

  • The term is horrible

Words do matter, People enduring a Mental Health Crisis hate to be referred
to as an EDP, Which just makes them feel worse,
The family and friends of people with Mental illness also hate hearing
the term EDP, This is Not about Political Correctness, But
realizing certain terms are very offensive, A less offensive stigmatizing
term can created for people in a Mental Health Crisis

  • You need a name

How else are you going to classify people?
What if schizophrenia became deemed to offensive how will doctors address them? They fellow with a special brain?
They are not normal and need help. Putting a euphemism will not other people stop making fun of them. You cannot pretend the problem does not exist and hope that everyone treats everyone kindly.

  • Who gives a shit

Retards with mental health don't matter and don't have feelings so lets not treat them like normal people because they r not normal people. Also why don't those retards just take drugs to make them happy so they can at least seem somewhat normal to the rest of us people
