• Yes, he signed a bill that bases signing a contract on gender.

The whole thing is absolutely ridiculous, and the man basically signed a bill that bases the ability to enter in a legal contract on gender. Governmental marriage is exactly that, just a contract, and to base it on some traditional spiritual value that has nothing to do with the governmental contract and is a separate thing altogether just seems like a bad idea to me.

I don't think that it was such a good idea for him to do that.

  • Yes, and it is a little bit ironic.

DoMa is nothing more than prejudicial slander against a minority wrapped up in a pretty bow and pretending to be ethical. It should have never been written, and is more a state of opinion rather than a fact that had any right to be signed in as law. To have the man who was nearly impeached after lying about an extramarital affair sign a bill about the sanctity of marriage is just a little less credible on all sides. Even if DoMa was legit, Clinton signing it is laughable

  • Bill Clinton was wrong, it's being used for bigotry.

Signing DOMA was wrong. Bill Clinton probably thought he was making the right decision, because he was compromising and being reasonable. However, the Defense of Marriage Act, or DOMA, has been used by politicians and lawmakers to defend bigotry and discrimination against gays. The bill was and is very wrong.

  • DOMA was unconstitutional and shouldn't have been signed.

President Bill Clinton was wrong to sign DOMA. This unconstitutional bill is what allowed states and communities to illegally discriminate against gay people and gay partners. If Clinton had not signed the Defense of Marriage Act, states would not have been allowed to get away with their hateful legislation for this long.

  • Bill Clinton says Defense of Marriage Act is unconstitutional, 17 years after signing it into law Read more:

He was right to sign it; but now he is a traitor to traditional marriage, so is President Obama; they just want the votes for the democratic party. It is so sad.

Gays spread more STDs and HIV than any other group. “More than half the new HIV infections diagnosed in the United States in 2005 were among gay men, a team at the University of Washington, Seattle, noted. In addition, as many as one in five gay men living in cities may be HIV-positive.”

Gays should never be allowed to raise children.

New Research on Children of Same-Sex Parents Suggests Differences Matter

Gays are much more promiscuous than straight.

“A survey by The Advocate, a homosexual magazine, revealed that promiscuity is a reality among homosexuals. The poll found that 20 percent of homosexuals said they had had 51-300 different sex partners in their lifetime, with an additional 8 percent having had more than 300…”
The total of homosexual males in this study reporting more than 50 sex partners in their lifetime is 35.4%.

Most homosexuals practice unsafe sex despite the fact that catching SDTs and HIV from anal sex are very high.

“The Advocate survey…found that 55 percent of homosexuals said they never (20%), occasionally (10%) or usually (25%) practiced so-called “safer sex.”

“…The fact that many homosexuals appear to live their lives in sexual overdrive does not seem to concern leaders in the movement. In an editorial from the same issue (August 15) in which the survey results were published, The Advocate said: “[Homosexuals] have been proud leaders in the sexual revolution that started in the 1960s, and we have rejected attempts by conservatives to demonize that part of who we are.”

  • No Bill Clinton was not wrong to sign DOMA.

Bill Clinton is, in general, a horrible man. But that doesn't mean that he doesn't make some excellent decisions from time to time. One of these decisions, the Defense of Marriage Act, was probably his best, because more than any of his laws it works to protect society and discourage cultural Marxism.

Bill Clinton is signed and Obama agreed with it; but, now because the political win as changed, they both support gay marriage. It is very sad. Hopefully, the Supreme Court will rule in favor of the states that have banned it.

For some reason, when I cited facts about gays (e.g., promiscuity is ten time greater, STDs and HIV are much much higher), this site does not post my remarks, but some how my vote is counted.
