Was it right to replace the term "mental retardation" with "intellectual disability"?

Seriously. It's just a word. Any offense that you take to seeing a specific arrangement of lines or hearing a specific arrangement of sounds is your own fault. There is no universal law that states that you must be offended if told you have "mental retardation." I have ADHD. That's a mental retardation. Do I get all offended when people say the word "retarded"? Absolutely not.

I'm not sure what instance you are speaking of, but I also see nothing wrong with any of the terms you have presented.
