A careful reading of much of Our Lord's Prophecies, Regarding the end of the world, Was about the destruction of Jerusalem. With the destruction of Jerusalem, It brought about an end of an era, With Jews fleeing their ancestral homeland and not returning for another 2, 000 years to come. The most obvious example was when Christ Actually Said that the Temple would be destroyed one day. His followers thought that it meant the end of the whole world.
Matthew 24:30, "Then the sign of the Son of Man will appear in heaven, And then all the tribes of the earth will mourn, And they will see the Son of Man coming on the clouds of heaven with power and great glory" (NKJV) The fact that the Bible says you will see the Son of Man coming on the clouds means we will physically see Christ return from Heaven for HIs church. No such event has ever been recorded, And following this event is the 1, 000-year reign of Christ. This also hasn't occurred yet, So the temple's destruction is a fulfillment of Matthew 24:1-2, But not the return of Christ.
The prophecies interpreted by our interpreters pertaining in their eyes to a literal manifestation of the being we call Jesus Christ may also metaphorically allude to a moment in the future when the whole world shall find themselves beset with conquering the lower impulses of their heart and earnestly seeking to extinguish the fires that serve to fuel the urges of the ego.
And the forces which shall be the instigator of such profound changes shall be the impulse which, Once upon a time, In a land called Jerusalem, Managed to integrate itself into living entities who once found themselves thriving within the confines of the four corners of our world.
There shall be a moment in the near or distant future when a formidable portion of this world shall recognize intimately the mystery of the forces that once serve to indulge into an alchemical formulations of concepts and ideas which are held in so high esteem.
