Were the soldiers and commanders and prime ministers of the British Empire ruthless?

Asked by: Adam2
  • Sweden was also a rival for Britain for powerful empire, as their conquest of Finland and Baltic countries was ruthless

British troops were vicious and merciless. They were some of the most fierce fighters (sometimes the biggest cowards as well). Swedish troops and commanders were also very fierce and ruthless. They brutally destroyed places in Finland, without any mercy whatsoever. So I think both countries have a record for brutality.
