Withdrawing from Iraq: Was the "surge" not really a "success"?

  • It was not a success.

Our goal of the "surge" was to take someone who was a threat to society out of power. Saddam Hussein was deemed by America to be a tyrant. However, the "surge" did more than just take an oppressive leader out of power. It seriously damaged the lifestyle and well being of the people of Iraq as well.

  • The Surge Was Not a Success

All the surge in Iraq really did was cause more people from the area to not want us to be there. Just think of the movie "Red Dawn.,,"
