[FOR THEISTS] What happens to people who are not given a chance to accept God/Jesus in their life when they die?

Posted by: Voxol

Think about all the people who have lived in isolation for their entire life, and have never been preached to about god. If you have a better answer, feel free to add it.

If you could explain "Other", that would be cool

I ask this question a lot too, because there are people who have never even heard of "Jesus" or even the concept of God. Where do they supposedly end up after death?

Briantheliberal: There is actually a verse in romans which adresses that about carrying th law in tour heart. The gist is that a person who had never even heard of religion of anything still does good and lives a good and givimg and compassionate life wothout a book telling them what to do they are morally superior.

After you die you go first to one of two places 1. Spirit Paradise or 2. Spirit Prison. Spirit Prison is much less prison and much more school. Basically the point of it is to teach all of those who never got the chance to except the Lord and be baptisms here a chance to do it there. Once you have learned about the Lord and decided to accept him (that is your choice) people still here on earth have to do (in representation of you) a couple things you missed while here (With permission from your closest living relative). Things done here are Baptism for the dead ( many people think this means baptising a corpse but it just means baptising someone in representation of the dead person ), sealing to spouse ( if married ), and sealing to parents. Sealing allows you to spend your time in heaven later with family (assuming that you have a good relationship and they make it to heaven two). There are a few people who aren't worthy of spirit prison schooling so that's where the word Prison comes in. Once you've learned you go to spirit paradise and then to Heaven. All of that is my religions beliefs. Everybody has the right to freedom of religion and I am interested to hear other beliefs. That is a brief summary of LDS beliefs about where the people in question go. You are not going to be punished just because you weren't taught something here on earth. Only those who do wrong knowingly, are punished for their wrong doing.

He will punish those who do not know God and do not obey the gospel of our Lord Jesus. They will be punished with everlasting destruction and shut out from the presence of the Lord and from the glory of his might. (2 Thessalonians 1:8-9) God sends them to Hell, even though there was know way of them knowing about him.
