A man can serve decades in prison for a fist fight. A woman call pull her baby apart in the womb. How hypocritical is this?

Who are we kidding about abortion? Women literally pull apart babies but nothing happens to them. A man gets in a fist fight and could end up serving a decade in prison. It is the ultimate hypocrisy.

Pulling apart babies is not as bad as a black eye.

IF a man serves "decades" (which I doubt) for a fist fight, he had a long previous record of assault & somebody was hurt very badly or killed.

You would think that is the case but obviously you have not been a part of the legal system. Even if a man serves a year, the question still remains. A fist fight or pulling a baby apart? What is worse? Don't deflect from the issue.

Except that a fetus is not a baby

A fetus is not a baby. Please. It is just another stage of development. A person who is 21 is not 22, should we murder a 21 year old because of it. Rationalize it all you want, but that fetus would grow to be a baby. Life is life at any stage of development.

But a fetus does not have the characteristics of a human they have no brain activity . A fetus is just an organ . So what about the potential life that was lost , is it bad to not become a doctor because someone could die .

A fetus is an infant that has yet to be conceived, at 8 months its still a fetus, and at 1 month it feels pain

@Formerland mentally handicapped have no brain activity in certain circumstances, and becoming a doctor has no coloration to abortion, now becoming a suicide bomber would, because there are guaranteed deaths.

Wooow this poll isn't biased at all.

People who have had brain damage and become potatoes don't have brain activity. It's still illegal to kill them.

@buthitlerisdead -- there is absolutely no bias in this poll. This is what happens. Babies are pulled apart and yes, guys do go to jail for decades for simple fist fights. Being bias would be writing some politically correct BS poll that skirts around the real issue.

"and at 1 month it feels pain" Source this. Fetuses are not sentient beings until 24 weeks (https://birthpsychology.Com/journals/volume-27-issue-1/maternal-fetal-attachment-can-acceptance-fetal-sentience-impact-maternal-#.U8X-jvldUhY). A fetus is not a person. If we are going on what COULD become life then we should ban masturbation, periods, etc.

Seperated sperm and egg are not considered people because they are not going to become anything unless put the two together during sex. A zygote is going to become a fully grown human being unless you kill it before it can.

Sex makes people seperated sperm and egg don't.

1814 ... The "issue" IS the law. If a man breaks the law with his fists by assaulting someone, then he has broken the law. He's guilty. If a woman chooses to have an abortion, she must have the procedure within the law. The links below further explain. If she does not, then she too has broken the law.
