If you saw the future of your life and you were in debt because you had a child would you get an abortion before the child was born?

  • If I was to get a child and I'm in debt, the child would be growing up in a bad spot. So have the child not be born, or have the child live in misery? Why should the child suffer with parents who couldn't afford to take care of the child.

  • People are always indebted in some way.

  • Poverty is better than death.

  • Had Einstein never been born we would not have satellites, nor a GPS system. Had Feynman never been born we would not have solar panels and most of theories in quantum mechanics. Had Morgan Freeman never been we would not have an amazing God character. Must I go on?

@RO17: Had Hitler never been born we wouldn't have had the holocaust. It works both ways, horrible argument IMO.

Indeed. One of the worst arguments possible against abortion, since statistically any given child is far more likely to grow up to be a criminal than positively affect mankind.

I'm pro-choice but this scenario is a false dilemma. Adoption is an option. You could choose that.
