  • Formula 1 is way more exciting than football.

  • Soccer is better than football. Cricket is better than baseball. Rugby is better than American football. F1 is better than Nascar.

  • There might be some yanks that think all Europeans play is football (soccer) but this is not true we play hockey rugby basketball and cricket too.

  • Only because we don't see fans murder other fans over a stupid game. Don't get me wrong, football (both forms) is a stupid game, but I don't think Americans are as fanatical as Europeans are about their sports.

  • More fast paced, a lot more physically challenging, and reward worthy.

  • I wouldn't call it better, sports focus is bad in either country, a massive waste of resources. However, American sport is more popular, among those that I consider the idiots that care about it more than the millions of lives the money is cost to set up the event could have saved.

  • Basketball,Ice Hockey,American Football,Baseball>European Football

Europeans just have superior taste in sports.

Other than Soccer and Rugby, American sports are physically challenging and are more face paced.

Like what American sports? The only other (besides baseball, etc.) sports you have are technically European.

Basketball is an American sport.
Emilrose says2015-08-24T18:19:07.2924908Z
The guys who invented it were Canadian, so.
tajshar2k says2015-08-24T18:19:08.4966551Z
Ice hockey, too but thats more Canadian. Its still popular in America though.

Thats true, but he discovered it when he was working in the U.S. Basically it is an American sport. Canada isn't really into basketball. More into hockey.

European sports are still harder: especially when listing them all. There is tennis, hockey, rugby, football, boxing, netball. I was incorrect in stating that baseball was American, too, as it was first recorded as being payed in Britain.

If I go by sports created in Europe obviously they are superior. Its more of them. But I can say Americans excel in tennis hockey soccer (womens) boxing. These sports are big businesses here in the U.S

That doesn't necessarily mean that American sports are more 'challenging' though, which was what your original point was. Europeans pretty much excel in every sport there is--which doesn't apply to Americans, who do not excel in at least 3 European sports I can think of.

Europe is a too broad. A sport like cricket is only played in England, but would still be considered an European sport. And even though some American sports got their idea from European sports it doesn't mean they are exactly the same.

Then tell that triangle.128k, he's the one that created this poll. Simply put Europe is not 'too broad' for the question, as 'America' is technically two different continents. Cricket is also played in far more places than just England. It is a top sport in both India (especially Pakistan) and Australia.
tajshar2k says2015-08-24T18:42:30.2280405Z
I know cricket is played globally, but its considered a European sport.
tajshar2k says2015-08-24T18:46:25.1655465Z
And England sucks balls at it anyways.
Emilrose says2015-08-24T18:47:28.6721148Z
Your point was that it was only really prominent in England, which I showed to be incorrect. The fact it's a European sport but also played globally kinda negates your original point, too. American sports generally don't have that kind of appeal.
Emilrose says2015-08-24T18:48:17.3453628Z
It also sucks balls at football and tennis, despite the fact they invented them.
tajshar2k says2015-08-24T18:49:16.4702446Z
When I said only England plays it, I meant England is the only country in Europe who plays it. Germany and Italy might have some teams, but its not prominent.
Emilrose says2015-08-24T18:56:13.5319724Z
Maybe not, but many European countries still have cricket as a national sport. Such as Belgium, France, Denmark, Scotland, and the ones you mentioned. Even Israel (which granted, isn't in Europe) has a cricket council.

The only sport that we can really call American are the ones made by Native Americans such as Lacrosse. However this is just labeling based on the inventor's nationality. Personally, I believe Basketball should be considered an American sport as that is where it was founded.

Besides futbol and tennis, European sports just aren't very entertaining in my opinion.
