@makesensepeopledont, this is a poll because some people don't believe you have a right to privacy and they would sacrifice Liberty for a false sense of security.
I see. This is about wiretap, right?
The patriot act was/is a disgusting piece of crap. More so then even the war, watching conservatives come over to the liberal side on this one has... Been great and frustrating. Me and my pals were fighting this crap while everyone was calling us every terrible "un-american" nastiness they could think of.
This time last year, I was for it. But I really didn't know much about it nor the things that Edward Snowden leaked.
@Texas14
I know, it was more of a sarcastic remark to anyone who would click No. :)
@triangle. 128k
The NSA also knows about that "THING" you googled last night.
Even Scarier, Google knows what you were while you googled that thing last night. Did you know the U.S. government had to deny Google the ability to put a new satellite in orbit that would have had a mounted camera with such a high resolution capability it would have been able to see inside your window and decipher what you were watching on TV and what was on your PC screen? Because the full capabilities of the camera are classified for protection of their property, nobody really knows the full capabilities of it; some reports have even posed the question "If they can watch TV with me from space, would it not be logical to assume they can read your cellphone screen as well?"
How's that for privacy violation? You think people were up in arms when Google street view started capturing images inside houses through open windows and doors and when they captured images of people relieving themselves in public, doing drugs, etc.? Think about the backlash if they got that thing in orbit.
@Texas14 - It goes with that marketing campaign. " patriot act" "freedom fries" etc. It was all so revolting.
Ban mass spying on us Americans. I still support spying on certain suspects, so we can monitor them.
