Most people are "multi-racial," nobody is pure nowadays. A KKK member found out he was 10% black

@triangle: In the US perhaps, but both my parents are Cantonese and their ancestry originates from the same place in Guangdong.

Also, you mean 12.5% black, right?
triangle.128k says2015-08-03T17:12:32.1344145Z
Yeah, I meant in the US, I didn't make that clear.

I thought Cantonese was a language?
triangle.128k says2015-08-03T17:13:25.6538639Z
I mean like, just a language. It's an actual group of people?
Diqiucun_Cunmin says2015-08-03T17:13:53.0677333Z
@triangle: Shanghainese is also a language...
Diqiucun_Cunmin says2015-08-03T17:14:49.5556954Z
@triangle: Canton is the old name of Guangzhou.

Isn't Mandarin becoming more popular in Shanghai though?
triangle.128k says2015-08-03T17:15:27.6934462Z
Or is shanghainese still very common?
Diqiucun_Cunmin says2015-08-03T17:17:01.7977431Z
@triangle: Of course. Shanghainese may be better preserved than, I dunno, Wenzhounese, but it's not nearly as well preserved as Cantonese. My point was just that people originating from Shanghai are also Shanghainese, lol.
