Personally, I didn't think Virginia GOP were smart enough to oust him. Unfortunately, it's worse than I thought. They picked the Tea Party over Cantor!

Cantor is a disgusting and one of the worst politicians in my own personal opinion. I wasn't really shocked that of all places it was Virginia because it's the south (as stereotypical as it is because they have a predominately strong hold in VA. The last poll i saw was 52% cantor & 39% brat with a 9% undecided so if brat got the undecided then he has 48 and that's nearly neck & neck so yeah. The only thing that shocked me was the fact that Cantor spent like 4 million on this election and brat spent like 200k (or thats what i seen he spent). But the population of voters was like 70-80k or something when VA has like over 4 million voters.

I know it's districts but that's still a really low voter turn out

Discomfiting ... He is an arrogant S*B. I never cared for him & I vote Republican about 80% of the time. You are correct, his opponent spent $200K total on his campaign. So, obviously, money didn't win it. I suppose, they simply wanted change. But I don't see how going from Cantor to TP is an improvement!

He's not better at all. Between a Republican and a TP, I'd vote Republican. There's horrible but then theres even worse. These people are just so delusional that the TP movement is actually for them when they're not remotely close to for them. They have mutli-billionaires like the Koch brothers funding them to remove minimum wages and all regulations (even the ones Republicans support as a necessary regulation through laissez faire) to trample all over them.

Discomfiting ... Great news from SC! Graham easily won the GOP Primary -- 56% of the vote! The Tea Party put up a posse of 6 opponents, but none could come close to old Lindsey! And, I might add, it was one nasty race -- they character assassination they attempted to do on Graham was lower than low!
