As technology progresses more rapidly, will the fear of it increase?

Is it a real problem Societies/social groups have to face when looking at each other?

  • Yes, it will become harder for people to tolerate other social behaviors. This will give rise to more conflict.

  • No, humanity has the capacity to keep adapting and tolerating the rapid technological/social changes we're going though.

  • No, it will be possible to make technology that people are more comfortable around- modern PC's are far less frightening to the public than the older ones. This trend will continue- technology improves both to achieve better and to make consumers happier than rival brands. People will also get to understand technology more, and so general ignorance about technology will decrease, making it likely that fear of technology will recede, not increase.

  • When something new is introduced, people fear it, hate it, reject it, get used to it, and finally accept it.

A poll about technology and the first thing reece types in the comments is a bash on religion. You are starting to become a one trick pony.
