Softball is very boring, the ball is so big, you might as well not play with gloves.

Wouldn't it be easier to catch a larger ball with a glove, and a smaller one with bare hands?

Umm no, do you catch a basketball with gloves?

Smaller is harder, because the velocity is faster.

A small rubber ball is easier to catch with bare hands though.

Velocity is faster because the balls are smaller. In baseball, outfield is bigger, base distance is longer because the ball travels faster, and pitching mound is farther than softball mounds. As a softball player I think that softball is way better. Although baseball and softball are basically the same concept but different ideas. I can't stand watching baseball, it's sooo boring. It would maybe be less boring if I were actually playing.

Well yeah, but in the case of a baseball, it isn't too small, and it is hard. So when it is coming at 120 mph at you, a glove is probably necessary.

Ya, I admit it gets boring sometimes, but its really fun when you play.

True. But if baseball players were allowed to catch with two hands, I think they could manage.

No, its alot harder than it looks. You would suffer fractures if you tried to catch a ball coming at 120 mph at you.

But in the outfield, the ball would slow down by the time it gets to the fielder [especially if it's hit up high]. I can understand gloves for the infield fielders though, because they're standing so close.
