The Bible does not consist of man made laws, as the Quern is. The Bible is directly written down from God to his disciples. God> disciples>Bible
The bible is infinitely better than the Quran. The Quran is literally rife with commands to commit violence against non-muslims. Meanwhile, the only violent verses in the Bible are found in the old testament, which has been invalid for thousands of years. The Bible commands people to be kind, generous, compassionate, obedient, loving, caring, etc, while these qualities are very sparse in the Quran. I'll cite a verse of the Quran as some evidence: The Quran: Quran (2:191-193) - "And kill them wherever you find them, and turn them out from where they have turned you out. And Al-Fitnah [disbelief] is worse than killing... but if they desist, then lo! Allah is forgiving and merciful. And fight them until there is no more Fitnah [disbelief and worshipping of others along with Allah] and worship is for Allah alone. But if they cease, let there be no transgression except against Az-Zalimun (the polytheists, and wrong-doers, etc.)" The historical context of this passage is not defensive warfare, since Muhammad and his Muslims had just relocated to Medina and were not under attack by their Meccan adversaries. In fact, the verses urge offensive warfare, in that Muslims are to drive Meccans out of their own city (which they later did). The use of the word "persecution" by some Muslim translators is thus disingenuous (the actual Muslim words for persecution - "idtihad" - and oppression - a variation of "z-l-m" - do not appear in the verse). The actual Arabic comes from "fitna" which can mean disbelief, or the disorder that results from unbelief or temptation. Taken as a whole, the context makes clear that violence is being authorized until "religion is for Allah" - ie. unbelievers desist in their unbelief. Unlike nearly all of the Old Testament verses of violence, the verses of violence in the Quran are mostly open-ended, meaning that they are not restrained by the historical context of the surrounding text. They are part of the eternal, unchanging word of Allah, and just as relevant or subjective as anything else in the Quran. Unfortunately, there are very few verses of tolerance and peace to abrogate or even balance out the many that call for nonbelievers to be fought and subdued until they either accept humiliation, convert to Islam, or are killed. Muhammad's own martial legacy - and that of his companions - along with the remarkable stress on violence found in the Quran have produced a trail of blood and tears across world history.
The bible has more violent verses than the Quran, about 800. but because the bible is soooo long, the 800+ violent verses is a smaller percentage than the Quran. The bible and Quran both have problems.
The Quran is about 10x smaller than the Bible. The Quran was written over 22 years - the Bible written over 1600 years. The Quran has one principle author - the Bible has over 40. The Quran was written on one continent, in one country. The Bible was written on 3 continents in dozens of countries. The Quran is written in one culture. The Bible was written in various cultures across continents and countries over 1600 years. The Quran claims the Bible (especially the Old Testament) as part of its past, and claims Jesus was a prophet. The Bible says it is a completed revelation, and Jesus is the Son of God, "the faith once for all" (Jude 1:3).
Please read the best book the Holy Bible
The holy divine Book of God.
I find no doubts no contradictions nothing wrong with this Master Piece!
As an atheist, I don't think either of them are much good, but the Quran, or perhaps Islam, has done a good job at avoiding the translation mess the Xians have run into with their "holy" book.
of course Quran. I am answering as a person who is not muslim and who is not christian and at the same time who has read both. Quran is far better, comparing the bible to quran is one of the biggest insults can be made against islamic world.
No contradictions https://www.youtube.com/watchv=RB3g6mXLEKk&feature=player_embedded#at=18 I do not agree with either, but at least there is less contradictions and a concise message, even if the message is not the best
muslims can agree that there is only 1 quran while christians are disputing which bible is correct because there are 43 different bibles
The bible is way more violent.
